Costa Christmas 2014
The 1st of October brought with it Christmas songs, festive jumpers and even a visit from Santa Claus. The Costa Christmas Celebration introduced 2014’s seasonal food, drinks and campaigns to over 2000 store managers, baristi and leaders from across Costa’s Retail business.
Held at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena, this high-energy event featured Awards, fun theatrical presentations (incorporating film, stunts and segways!) and the return of The World’s Largest Coffee Shop. The day also included The Barista of The Year 2014 UK Retail Final, where the eight best Baristi from across Costa’s 2000+ UK stores battled it out to win their place at the World Final later this month in London.
brightfive’s Event Team were busy designing three custom Keynote themes to reflect the contrasting look and feel of the various components of the day, working with the Costa Exec team to produce all slide content as well as overseeing the design and print of stationery and signage for the event. We were also onsite, operating graphics and accommodating last minute changes.
This was a great event to be a part of with both delegates and presenters clearly having a great time, a brilliant team and some beautiful HD screens that really showed off our graphics. Thanks to Roebuck Productions and the Costa team inviting us once again.
Costa Christmas Assistant Managers’ Cascade
After the main event in Coventry, Costa wanted to share the events key messages with their Assistant Store managers across the UK. The Cascade presentation travels around the country and aims to bring a flavour of the main event, on a much smaller scale. A mixture of formal presentations, workshop sessions and even some of the fun theatrical elements of the main show, these events focus on ensuring the Christmas Celebration’s messages are communicated and implemented with consistency across the business.
brightfive worked closely with key Costa personnel to produce a PowerPoint deck which clearly and engagingly communicated key messages. These small-scale events would have only very minimal crew and no onsite graphics operator. With this in mind, we took care to produce a professional-looking, yet extremely easy to run presentation, which incorporated all video and music within the PowerPoint.
