Whitbread Family Weekend

26 AUG
Premier Inn door

Until recently I was a Premier Inn virgin. Given that Whitbread is a regular client for both our Events and Web teams, I felt quite guilty about this. In fact, if I'm being totally honest, I have never stayed in a so-called ‘budget hotel’. This is mainly for two reasons; the first being that we are lucky enough to have family scattered across the country, so always have a place to stay, and secondly I strongly believe that you get what you pay for. However, when my family were invited to my cousin’s wedding in Hereford, all this was about to change.

My husband suggested booking the Hereford Premier Inn as we needed five family rooms altogether to accommodate our extended family and wanted a somewhere close to the city centre, that wouldn't cost as a fortune. I was taken by total surprise by the cost of the rooms when we booked on an Advance Saver deal. It cost us less than £42 per night for the 4 of us, with an optional breakfast for everyone costing less than £20 - winner!

Fast forward 6 months and I was beginning to get nervous, wondering exactly what kind of room we were going to get for under £50. I shouldn't have worried. The hotel was clean and tidy, the staff very friendly and the room very comfortable for the four of us. Premier Inn’s ‘A Great Night's Sleep Guaranteed’ is 100% true, the beds and pillows were very comfortable.

The added bonus was the Beefeater Restaurant onsite, where we all got together for a hearty family meal the night before the wedding. Even better was the huge, delicious breakfast the following morning. The lovely staff were so accommodating and even gave us our own section in the restaurant so all 14 of us could sit together!

All in all, it was a perfect family weekend away thanks to Whitbread, my cousin and his beautiful wife. Oh, and I will definitely be staying at a Premier Inn Hotel again.
