Fundraising for York Mind at York's Little Festival3 OCT
York’s Little Festival of Live Music has become one of our favourite team outings and on Friday 29th September, we returned for the third year running.
The annual event forms part of York Food & Drink Festival. York’s Little Festival 2017 provided seven nights of free programming, featuring some of the city’s best musical acts. All money raised by the festival was donated to our chosen charity, York Mind.
Due to unavoidable spanners in the works including illness and childrearing responsibilities, our contingent was a little thin on the ground this year. Jamie and Simon valiantly represented team brightfive, joining fellow York Mind volunteers who together, through expert bucket holding and effortless charm, collected £536.88 in just four hours.
The Festival raised an impressive total of £2888.77 for mental health services in York. Congratulations to Ellen, Holly and all the hardworking organisers from York’s Little Festival and York Mind. Also to the musicians, bar staff and fellow volunteers who generously gave their time and talents to this great cause.
